Yesterday was another exciting day for our little Grizzlies as they celebrated their end-of-year Purposeful People awards assembly! Students cheered on their classmates as they competed in an office tennis minute-to-win-it challenge. We also got to recognize many of our students for their outstanding work practicing CREATIVITY and PERSEVERANCE! Way to go Grizzlies! At the close of the assembly, our Griswold Graduating Class of 2022 came out and surprised the students. It was great to see our seniors in their graduation caps and gowns as they get ready for their graduation on Sunday!

Our elementary students had a blast winning prizes at each of the games. Parents were able to spend time viewing the elementary Lego projects and the middle school science fair. Helix Parents/Guardians - Helix School District has a large number of students that out due to illness. Some parents have reported their children are testing positive for the Influenza A virus. This virus is contagious and spreads easily from person-to-person. Out of an caution, the Helix School District will do additional cleaning of classrooms and hard surface areas this week. Students cheered on their classmates as they competed in a penny stacking, minute-to-win-it challenge. We also got to recognize many of our students for their outstanding work practicing COOPERATION this month! Way to go Grizzlies! For April, we will be talking about CREATIVITY – Using your imagination to create something or solve a problem. Parents, be on the lookout for letters coming home, that include ways you can practice being creative as a family!

Helix Elementary celebrated HONESTY today during our Purposeful People awards assembly! We have some super honest Grizzlies and we could not be more proud! Several students were recognized for their outstanding effort practicing honesty this month. Way to go! Students also tested their balancing skills during a "dicey" minute to win it challenge. Thank you to our middle school student council students for being our pep squad today, and setting a great example for our younger students. The character trait for March is COOPERATION. Parents, be on the lookout for letters coming home with fun ways to practice cooperation as a family!
